The Rideau Lakes Squadron was founded in 1980 and serves boaters on the Rideau Canal from Kemptville to Jones Falls.

The picture on our pennant is the crab that was the original hand-operated windless which was used to open and close the lock doors.
Most locks on the Rideau System still use crabs to operate the lock doors.
